I agree, liberals closed them down to save the environment and put up wind farms and solar farms that don't give as much power as nuclear plants.

Oh, it was simpler than that. The left saturated the culture with fear propaganda because nuclear worked and they hate productivity, particularly American productivity. The swing to solar and windfarms was later, but also tracks with the inclination, as neither is nearly as productive as nuclear. If it doesn't work, lefties (and others) love it, and if it does work, it is a threat to their entire worldview.

This is what happens everytime you have a long period of low interest rates. A speculative market skyrockets and doesn't know how to regulate it's own scale, until resource constrainsts make it necissary.

Raising wood prices signaled early that the housing crash would happen.

The answer may not be to create more power. It may be to reduce unnatural demand.

The housing crash was not caused by low interest rates per se, but by government regulators requiring lenders to give loans to bad risk lendees.
