AI bubble is about to burst. It's going to remain a helpful tool but don't listen to AI CEOs about how all humans are getting replaced. They are lying and all their companies are operating a huge loss with no plan for profitability in sight.

Data centers need a lot of electricity and water to operate; ROI is 0 when that happens. The Shareholders won't like that.

Their plan is getting taxpayers to pay for it.

Even if AI becomes much more popular as we learn new ways to use and implement it, it won't cause mass lay-offs. If anything, it will probably create jobs from the innovations and information uncovered by AI.

Financial bubbles are not technical bubbles. Just because the dot com bubble happened didn't mean the internet became less relevant.

The bubble pop has to happen in part because 95% of start ups need to fail, and we have a lot of them in AI. The bubble pop will be the moment when the losers are picked. It doesn't make the field any less relevant. It just means that the businesses that are going to fail, that were always going to fail, happen to fail around the same time as each other. But the field moves on without them.

Internet was still relevant but back before that bubble people were starting their own internet companies, there was hope it'd help economy . Economy has gotten worse since, more inequality.
