Something about extreme autism makes people more 'male', at least in terms of emotion.
I used to have a roommate that worked with people with extreme autism, to the point that they had to be institutionalized, she had to wipe their bottoms and such.

I think it’s a mix of environmental factors and parental (mainly mothers) failing to raise their kids.
The number of mothers who anxiously look for something to be wrong with their kid is astounding. Then they want to do early intervention that further enforces the idea that something is wrong. They treat the kid like it’s retarded so it grows up acting retarded.
