So he was also running a sub called r/SwitchPirates.

Why didn't Nintendo sue reddit too?

[-]Tom_Bombadil3(+2|0)

Reddit has almost certainly distanced themselves from liability in the ToS..

Also, Nintendo might want to keep reddit happy; in case they someday decide they want to make their Ai a bit more geh.

So it's that easy? Cool, maybe I can stop worrying about people posting CP to nekochan then, I'll just add a clause to the ToS.

Cp ia already illegal.. You need a legal dept.

Sometimes they'll go after one then the other.

This says they made this guy close his online shops. But the switchpirates sub is still allowed. Is selling switch games the same as piracy ? Like I pirate stuff so I don't have to pay, that's the point.

I remember a modchip website that sold modchips for various video game consoles to copy CD-R disks of original games. If you look in Thailand, they sell video game consoles with modchips installed, and you can buy games for 35 Bhat ($ 1 USD) from street vendors. In Thailand the piracy is so bad that the hardware is sold for more money to make up for the piracy.

More reasons to go to Thailand.

They pirate all sorts of Windows apps and games. For $1 a CD-R in the street vendor's tables.

It was a default judgment, which means that he probably ignored the lawsuit.
