There is a reason these AI companies want to be regulated. The question is would they prefer to be regulated first or IPO first. Either one would support the other.

Works for them. IPOs are basically irreversible. They got the cash. And unlike a loan, they don't really have any new liabilities countered against the free cash.

People talk about bitcoin like it's a ponzi scheme. But stock IPOs fit the ponzi scheme analogy much tighter.

People don't understand what they own in Bitcoin, it is just a number, a hash. Stock is owning part of a company.

There's also something to be said for alts to the establishment, blockchains, proofs, trust, and freedom too.

Doge probably makes the ownership model a little more clear than bitcoin. With doge, every transaction has the same fee. So owning X amount of doge means you own Y amount of transactions or the ability to give them to another person (transfer value). Bitcoin is the same thing, but the prices are flexible instead of fixed.

It's actually a more utilitarian kind of ownership than stock. You have some purchasing power within it's own system, and that can be converted to purchasing power outside of it. With stock you get a lot less. You don't really get a say in the company. You can't take draws from the company. Every useful part of ownership is stripped away, and then still called ownership.
