If Australia banned guns, where did the gunman get them?

Australia didnt ban guns. If I had a dollar for every time I've had to explain this to a retarded american, id probably have maybe... $40.

They banned semi autos and pump action shotguns. That last one is important, because I can still buy pump action in any other gun. A common one is 308. Which is more dangerous than a shotgun. You can own 50 cals here, as long as they are bolt action. We get a lot of fancy actions here to get around these laws, with many guns firing just as fast as a semi auto.

So whyd these guys have autos

Because police and professionals (such as people who hunt as a job and security) still get them. There is also a lot of left over semi's from before the ban 30 years ago. A lot also get smuggled in.

The mass shooting that started the gun ban was done with a police gun. I wouldn't be surprised if all non gang mass shootings were government. Not much different than the US I would believe.

Australia is like the UK. No one is law abiding. It is not possible. They put in laws nearly every day, tell no one and do not enforce them until they want to get rid of you.
