China works on many levels. China fails on many levels. Many are both.

Scandinavian socialism succeeded better than most by many accounts.

Canada was doing okay, all things considered, until Trudeau the lesser really fucked things up, according to many.

Every nation is socialist to some degree.
All militaries are socialist programs, whether you want them or not.

There's nothing wrong with any of that, and it's not in reference to a socialist country. The US sends Israel $10s of billions of BORROWED money while Israel and many other wealthy countries have "universal health care, universal child care, housing investments" &c. There is no reason a wealthy country like the US cannot have that. Her answer should have been that over 70 countries guarantee healthcare to all citizens. These are not - in practice - 'socialist' countries.
