Even if 10/7 wasn't organized (a lot of data that it was), Israel was always waiting for one as an excuse to steamroll Gaza. They've done everything they can to engineer 10/7 at the high level. Oppress a civilian population so they have to oppose you. Fund the political campaign of Hamas so a "terrorist" organization will run the government.

Then you have how they organized the response. Bomb the surface instead of the tunnels, and refuse to enter the tunnels where you think your enemy is. Choosing to maximize civilian casualties and minimize mission fitment at every opportunity an option is presented, as if these secondary consequences are the primary mission.

I have a simple equation for selecting which side or government are the comparative bad guys if forced to choose. It total number of civilians killed in the last 4 years. You also add on any draft numbers from the side that drafted them, because those are would be civilians. That is the numerical mark of a country's evil. And you never let it be more complicated. The choice is also to intentionally create a metric than incentives countries to stop involving civilians in their wars, because that's the outcome we want.

I went ahead and calculated this. Civilians killed + drafted into combat. This is the index of evil.

Interesting - I hadn't thought of the conflicts in this manner. There is also the problem of the Kremlin sending meatbags to the front lines to be picked off by Ukraine's mortars and drones, and I think the Ukrainian government has not appropriately shared its casualty numbers. Indeed, there is a big difference between estimates by each government. Sudan and Houthi/Yemen numbers might be difficult to calculate, but there are at least some corroborated numbers. We can also look to the war profiteers (US, UAE, SA, Germany, China, Iran &c) as partially responsible. And we can look at a broader time frame. For example 5.4 million have died because of conflict since 1998 in the DRC and Successive wars launched after 9/11 have killed at least 4.5 million people and displaced more than 38 million others.. In any event, I agree this is a very good way to look at the carnage and the military industrial complex, and should be considered more often.

I used Gemini for all of the numbers and they're just estimates. Any one of them could be 50% off or more.

Russia and Ukraine using meatbags to saturate mass killing tech is exactly why I included draftees as part of government's involving civilians in war. In that case it's not who is shooting them who is responsible because they are dressed up in military apparel. It's the person who put an unwilling civilian there that gets the blame.

FYI to anyone in the US military that has trained artillery operations. Being a meatbag is what that job is all about. We can target things on the other side of the planet, and do it really quickly and accurately. The only reason to perform a multiple day deployment to get an artillery gun to a remote site that can only target a relatively close area, is to have meatbags there worth targeting and thus overload the enemy's ability to target given a large enough count of meatbags. Such that real assets are more likely to achieve their goal.

This is why our military is so huge. It's also why we pay them so little. We're not going to pay someone a proper salary during off season to sit around and wait to be a meat target, while having them do busy work to keep them from thinking about it and give them a reason to think there's another reason they are being paid. Making a bed again is really important to the mission bro.

It's hard to say how many executions and protesters were killed when secret agencies are rampant with black ops and the corporatocracy pollutes, vaccinates with poison, denies good and services, etc.
