I think memes are prescient and funny when they're true.

Funny how they worship a statue of Obama as Jesus but dump on Trump as Jesus.

The sculpture was not worshiped. It was merely an art project, by David Cordero, 24, who made the sculpture for his senior show at an art school in Chicago. No rational person cared about it then, and hardly anyone would remember it thereafter.

In the present case, Trump shared an AI image promoting the idea that he is Christ, healing an old man, with a background of warfare. I think it was perfect, as an example of what he thinks, while he and Congress help Isreal with genocide in several countries, at the expense of $2 billion/day, while there will be severe cuts to healthcare &c.

That's just social media nonsense. If you search for 'obama messiah' you will see that the memes were used in both flattering and mocking contexts by supporters and critics. A better analysis shows that critics (and Israel and Russia) were trying to claim that Obama was not American and not secular and that only a cult of religious idiots appreciate his sermon-like speeches. There were numerous memes of him as a Muslim who would bring sharia law to the US.
